Guilt and atonement

He, who by turning round his will,

Receives henceforth forgivenessfor ‘sins’

Committed in the past,

Is then freed for all eternity

From all the guilthis sin

Loaded upon him.

He remains redeemed

From that entanglement of guilt,

Hindering the unredeemed

In time and in eternity

From reaching their perfection.

Yet this temporal

And eternal redemption

Is bound to the atonement

The redeemed freely

Place upon themselves.

To the unredeemed

It is but force and pain. –

Atonement freesthosewho

Succeedwithin themselves

In truly turning around

Their will in earthly life.
